Irfan Dhalla is a general internist and health services researcher. His primary interest is to study how the organization, delivery and financing of the health care system affects health outcomes, particularly for patients with complex chronic illness. He also conducts pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics research with the Ontario Drug Policy Research Network. He serves on the Committee to Evaluate Drugs, which advises the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, as well as on the Board of Canadian Doctors for Medicare.
